Acknowledgement of the Country

Dental South lives on the land of the Muwinina people of Lutruwita.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the elders and ancestors who have taken such good care of this land we now call Australia. We appreciate that we live and work on Aboriginal land and that it was never ceded. We also acknowledge the ongoing impacts of forced colonisation that continue to affect our First Nations communities and understand that it is the responsibility of all Australians to be part of healing and progress towards equity for our Indigenous people.

We are proud that Dental South is owned and operated by a Palawa woman and takes tangible steps to show commitment towards education and being culturally safe by flying the Aboriginal flag outside the clinic, opening meetings with an acknowledgement of country, ensuring all staff are culturally trained and have been the proud major sponsor for the Tasmanian Young Achiever Awards First Nations award from 2018-2023.
